The members of 'For the Nonce' are historical actors at Plimoth Plantation.  They have combined their loves of music, dance, and theater in a lively revue of English songs from the times of the pilgrims.  They perform in character and authentic 17th century costume.

Steve Tapper and Shelley Otis are a flute and harp duo. In this duo, Steve plays wooden flutes (Renaissance and Baroque) while Shelley plays Celtic harp. In addition to the Irish ,Scottish, British, and American folk songs that one would expect from this configuration, theirrepertoire includes music from all over the world, popular music of various kinds, and original compositions. They have been performing together since December 2004, when they met while performing Christmas songs at the annual Festival of Trees at Plimoth Plantation.

Singer/songwriter Diane Taraz has perfomed in hundreds of places -- coffeehouses, clubs, libraries, museums, restaurants, historical societies, and private houses -- bringing her velvety voice and vivid songs to audiences of all ages. Laughter abounds as she uses her dry wit to explain both her own award- winning songs and the traditional material into which she breathes new life. Audiences listen entranced as she sings a cappella, a challenging style at which she excels.
